When a business orders website development in Armenia, the first question is usually the price. But the price depends on what kind of site you need, which platform it runs on, and who looks after it once it is live. This guide is written for small and medium-sized businesses, shops, service companies and startups that want the full picture before talking to a studio.
Which website your business needs
- Landing page. One page for one offer: an ad campaign, a new service, an event. Fast and affordable, but it does not replace a full website.
- Business website. 3–6 pages: services, about, prices, contact. Enough for clinics, consultants and independent professionals.
- Corporate website. Many sections, an admin panel, a blog, several languages. For companies that need trust and visibility in search.
- E-commerce. Catalogue, cart, online payment through Idram, ArCa or Telcell, order management. More in how to launch an online store in Armenia.
WordPress or Laravel
WordPress is a good choice when the site is mostly content: pages, news, a blog. It launches quickly, has thousands of ready-made plugins, and the content is easy to edit without a developer. The downside: with many plugins the site gets heavy and needs regular security updates.
Laravel is a PHP framework on which the site is written for your specific task. It is the choice when you need logic that does not come out of the box: calculators, customer accounts, integration with a CRM or accounting system, a complex catalogue. Development costs more, but the site is faster, more secure and easier to extend.
A simple rule: if the site is mostly text and photos, WordPress is enough. If the site works as a business tool, look at Laravel.
How much a website costs
Typical ranges on the Armenian market: a landing page 150,000–400,000 AMD, a business website 250,000–600,000 AMD, a corporate website 600,000–1,500,000 AMD, an online store from 1,200,000 AMD. What goes into the price and which costs are often forgotten is covered in how much does a website cost in Armenia. For a starting estimate of your own project, use the calculator on the home page.
Timelines
- Landing page — 1–2 weeks.
- Business website — 2–4 weeks.
- Corporate website — 4–8 weeks.
- Online store — 6–12 weeks.
Projects rarely run late because of programming. They run late because of copy, photos and approvals. If the content is ready by the time the design is done, the site launches on schedule.
How the work goes
- Brief. Goals, audience, page list, examples you like.
- Structure and design. A page map, then the design for desktop and mobile.
- Development. Front end, back end, admin panel, forms, payments.
- SEO foundation. Titles, meta descriptions, sitemap, speed, Google Search Console.
- Testing and launch. Checks on different devices, then the move to hosting.
Maintenance after launch
A website is not finished on launch day. It needs updates, backups, security checks and small changes. That usually runs 20,000–60,000 AMD a month. What maintenance covers is explained in website maintenance: what is included.
