When is Laravel the right choice?
Laravel is a PHP framework for building web applications with real business logic. It is the right choice when your project has users who log in, data that changes all the time, rules that decide what happens next, or integrations other systems depend on. A brochure site or a blog does not need it; a booking engine, a client portal or a marketplace usually does.
- Accounts and roles. Customers, managers, partners and admins who each see and do different things.
- Rules. Prices that depend on the client, stock that reserves itself, approvals, discounts and limits.
- Integrations. Payments, 1C, CRM, delivery services and mobile apps that read and write the same data.
- Growth. A product you expect to change every month for years.
If your site is mostly pages your team edits, read our WordPress development page first: it will be cheaper and faster to launch.
What can you build with Laravel?
Almost any web product that is more than a set of pages. These are the projects we are asked for most often in Armenia:
- Client portals where customers see their orders, invoices, documents and statuses.
- Booking systems for clinics, salons, tour operators and rentals, with calendars, deposits and reminders.
- Marketplaces and catalogs with several sellers, commissions and moderation.
- SaaS products and MVPs with subscriptions, teams and usage limits.
- Backends for mobile apps. One Laravel API serves the iOS app, the Android app and the website. See mobile app development for how we plan both together.
- Internal systems such as CRM, warehouse and reporting tools that replace spreadsheets. When the main goal is to cut manual work, our automation page explains that side.
How much does Laravel development cost in Armenia?
The budget depends on the number of user roles, screens, rules and integrations, not on the number of pages. A small MVP with one user type, payments and an admin panel is a different project from a marketplace with sellers, buyers, moderators and commissions.
| Project | Typical scope | Typical timeline |
|---|
| MVP | One user role, 10–15 screens, payments, admin panel | 6–10 weeks |
| Client portal or booking system | 2–3 roles, notifications, 1–3 integrations | 8–14 weeks |
| Marketplace or SaaS | Several roles, subscriptions or commissions, reporting | 3–6 months |
| Audit of an existing project | Code, security and performance review with a written report | 1–2 weeks |
Custom web platforms start from the prices shown on our website development page. You get a fixed quote after the brief and pay in stages, after you see each result on the staging server.
Laravel, WordPress or Node.js: which should you choose?
Each tool is good at different things. The question is not which is best, but which fits your project for the next three to five years.
| Laravel | WordPress | Node.js |
|---|
| Best for | Platforms, portals, SaaS, APIs | Content sites, blogs, small stores | Real-time apps, chats, streaming |
| Business logic | Strong, built in | Through plugins, gets fragile | Strong, more setup |
| Admin panel | Built around your workflow | Standard WordPress admin | Built from scratch |
| Developers in Armenia | Many, easy to hire | Many | Fewer for long-term support |
| Hosting | Any PHP server | Any PHP server | Node hosting |
We often combine them: WordPress for the marketing site the team edits every day, Laravel for the platform behind the login.
How do you know the code is good?
You may never read the code, but you will live with it. Ask any Laravel development company these questions before you sign:
- Is the code in your Git repository? It should be, from day one, not handed over at the end.
- Are there automated tests for payments, permissions and the rules that cost money if they break?
- Is there a staging server where you check every change before it reaches users?
- How are database changes made? Through migrations in the repository, never by hand on the live server.
- Is there documentation another team could pick up: setup, deployment, integrations?
We work this way on every project, so you can change teams later without starting over. That is also why we can take over Laravel projects written by others: we start with an audit and tell you plainly what to keep and what to fix.
Security and performance
Laravel gives protection against the most common attacks out of the box: SQL injection, cross-site scripting and request forgery. Most real problems come from how a project is built and hosted, so we cover the rest ourselves.
- Passwords and personal data stored and transferred correctly, with HTTPS everywhere.
- Roles and permissions checked on the server, not only hidden in the interface.
- Queues for slow work like emails, reports and imports, so pages stay fast.
- Caching and database indexes planned for the data you will have in two years, not today.
- Daily backups, error monitoring and dependency updates after launch.
How to choose a Laravel development company
A good partner asks more about your business than about the framework. Look for a team that explains its decisions in plain words, shows working systems rather than screenshots, and gives you a written plan with stages and a fixed price.
- Ask to see a live admin panel they built, not only the public site.
- Ask who will maintain the platform after launch and what it costs per month.
- Make sure the contract says the code, the database and the domain belong to you.
- Prefer a team in your time zone that speaks your language: decisions are made in calls, not in tickets.
If that sounds like the way you want to work, tell us about your project. We reply with questions, then a quote.
